I just want to know if it is possible with javascript to call a formula like @DBLookup. In my web application, I want to validate who access to my page by a login form. Almost like this forum when we sign up. thx

Hi Erik. I noted your previous message, so I have a feeling you’re pretty new to Notes/Domino.
As sonmeone already mentionned, domino as all it needs already to handle user login. In this particular case, where you want to control who can access a page, what happens if the user sets a bookmark to the page? He’ll be able to get back to the page directly, bypassing your validation. He can also send that link to other users, and they’ll all bypass the validation.
If you let us know a bit more on what you want to do, we’ll be able to direct you on the right path. You can always drop me a note (si le francais c’est plus facile pour toi) but using this forum provides a larger base of helping hands.
You’ll see that Notes is somewaht special for developing applications, for both web and Notes clients. But once you get the hang of it, it can do really amazing things.
Good luck in your project,

Sorry for those who don’t speak french… :S----------------------------------------------------
Benoit,
Merci.
Again, I’m sorry for those who don’t speak french.

this is a webgrid based in Javascript Formula.
@dblookup–>jsDbLookup,
@setdocfield–>jsSetDocField
etc…

Yes, there are several ways you can do a DBLookup. This one is popular:http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/55c38d716d632d9b8525689b005ba1c0/f291334d26b3dcf585256f2a0043ec9e?OpenDocument
just make sure you read the comments, and adjust (particularily Nathan’s comment).
Or you can do an AJAX call to a LS or Java agent that performs a getDocumentByKey and returns the results so that they may be parsed from the xml or json object you created in the agent. There are several examples of doing this on the web.
