Java debugging

I have a question. For debug points in java agent I use System.out.println(“something”)… When I debugging agent in eclipse I don’t see any out print in Debug console or in Java console. Why ?

It will depend where you run it. If you run it on the server, it should show up in the server console.

After 6.5/6.03 you can also get the agent name and threadid to print on http requests if that will help.

I run on local db and I see out.print in Lotus Debug Console, but it not comfortable because debugging goes in eclipse…

Subject: Java debugging (maybe you need the Balaban way)

When you debug this way, you are actually just using the java debugger in the JVM and it will not alter the standard input/output.

If you were to run a java program that called NotesInit (the way Bob B’s LS2007 presentation showed), it would use the eclipse IDE console window if you would prefer to see it there.

I am not sure where his presentation is posted - but it did have sample code.
