Java class not loaded in java agent server side

Domino/Notes Version: 14.5.1
Add-on Product (if appropriate, e.g. Verse / Traveler / Nomad / Domino REST API): Java Agent
Its Version:
Operating System: Linux Alma 10.2
Client (Notes, Nomad Web, Nomad Mobile, Android/iOS, browser version): 14.5.1

I’m wrinting an agent to send notifications from Domino to mobile devices via Firebase Cloud Messaging Service using Firebase SDK

I have a notes Agent that runs in UI (Notes client 14.5.1) when triggered manually with right-click / run

while if scheduled on a Domino Server (R14.5.1) it gives an error:

error message: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.google.auth.Credentials

The agent is the same.
The class IS in the google-auth-library-credentials-1.49.0.jar file loaded as an Archive in the Agent.

What can be the difference loading that class between running locally and on server?

Thanks

tommaso

You can try moving the JARs to the jvm/lib/ext Directory:

  1. Remove the Firebase and Google Auth JARs from the Agent’s Archive in Domino Designer.
  2. On the Domino Server, navigate to your Domino program directory:
    Windows: C:\Program Files\HCL\Domino\jvm\lib\ext
    Linux: /opt/hcl/domino/notes/latest/linux/jvm/lib/ext
  3. Place your google-auth-library-credentials-1.49.0.jar (and all other required Firebase/Google dependency JARs) in this folder.
  4. Restart the Agent Manager (tell amgr quit and then load amgr) or restart the Domino server.

Hi @abhaysingh_s_31628 and @tommaso

JAR files are stored in different paths for 12.x and 14.x, refer to this KB Article. Thank you.

You are correct @TJ_Jabien . On 14.5.1 JARs should be stored at “..\Domino\ndext”. Thanks.
