Java bug?

I have created a Java agent. It opened a Java frame having SWING toolkit. I have added external swing utility.The application was developed in R5 originally, but rolled out for R6. The agent is working on thousands of computer except on mine. I have 6.5.4. The others have 6.5.2.

I have an R5 installed on my computer and the agent is working on that as well, but is not working on my R6.

I get the following error message:

java.lang.NullPointerException

at lotus.domino.AgentLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)



at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:448)



at MyThread.runNotes(MyThread.java:379)



at lotus.domino.NotesThread.run(NotesThread.java:218

where the runnotes 379. row create the instance of the ResultFrame class (that extends the JFrame).

the MOST interesting thing AFTER I COPIED THE NOTES.JAR from an R6.5.2 client to my R6.5.4 client (by replacing the original) the agent IS WORKING AGAIN.

What else can be BUG if this is not?

What happens if you recompile your Java agent in 6.5.4 Designer - does the 6.5.4 Notes.jar file work then?

I did it, as it was on my computer, and added several test message to check waht is the problem, but it did not help. The only help was when I replaced the notes.jar file
