Items on Mail-In Database Form Changing Fonts to Default Monospace

I have an ‘invitation/response’ style databases that is giving me some problems and I’m hoping someone out there can give an assist. I have a database where a “host” in the database send out a stored-form mail to an “invitee” mail account. The invitee fills out the invite and sends it back to the originating database. Easy enough so far.

When the host sends out the invitation, it has some basic fonts and formatting. When the invitee receives and sends the completed the stored-form mail, it also has the desired formatting.

Here’s where it gets strange. When the “host” opens the submitted invitations back in the originating datase, the font of all the text is reverted to the Default Monospace font. This is for fields, rich-text, even the static text of the form. The spacing, font size, table structure etc. is all in tact, just changed to Monospace.

Here’s some additional data:

  1. There are no form formulas on any views.

  2. There are no old copies of the form that are in monospace

  3. The database was designed in R5

  4. The databases was working until about a week ago.

  5. We’re in the process of upgrading to R6 (though the database in question is difinitely still R5)

  6. The behavior is the same whether from an R5 or R6 client.

Is there possibly some server setting that could be stripping out the fonting? If anyone has some insight to this, can you please point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Brian

Subject: Items on Mail-In Database Form Changing Fonts to Default Monospace.

I had identical problem. Only solution I found was to create a brand new form in R6 and copy the fields etc from the previous R5 version. Then delete the R5 version form and rename the new R6 version with the old R5 name.

Hope this helps
