Issue with DEAS and Blackberry

We have Domino server 6.5, DEAS 6.0, and a Blackberry 7280. We are accessing DEAS via a cingular gateway and logging in just fine.

If the user clicks on the mail link he gets an error.

In the log is an entry similar to the following:

Basics:

Date: 03/24/2004 02:59:42 PM

Severity: Minor

Server Name: xxxxx/xxxxx

Application: Dispatcher

User: Peter xxxxxx/xxxxxxxx

Message Code: 20130

Message Text: Rejected inbound message from address xx.xxx.11.72 expected xx.xxx.11.71

Apparently the cingular gateway is somehow incrementing the requesting IP by one number from the logged in IP and the DEAS server is flagging that as a problem and not allowing it.

I have searched for any settings on the DEAS server (we are not using the Blackberry Enterprise Server) but to no avail.

Anybody have an idea how to get the server to allow this?

Thanks, Norman Carnovale

I’m encountering the same problem. Have you found any solution yet?

Thanks,

Look at the “Subnet mask for origin check” on the Wireless Security tab of the server document. Something like 255.255.255.0 would ignore the last part of the IP address.

I do not have this setting. I am looking in the Domain Address book. Is this in another database??

Thanks

This is in the Server configuration document in the DEA server names.nsf. In the Mobile tab / Wireless Security subtab.
