Issue Installing Team Studio Configurator Widget

Hi Lotus Gurus,

I am unable to install Team studio Configurator widget. Got license keys, however drag and drop is unresponsive.

Operating System :- Windows 7

Client Version :- 853

Is there any workaround to fix the issue?

I agree with Carl that you should give TS a call - they are great folks, and I am sure they can help.

I do have my notes from my last CIAO client install. Maybe they will help…I think I ended up doing it a little differently than the boxed instructions.

Se sure your client is upgraded to R8.5.2 or above

B. Client preferences: In order to perform the install, you have to have your sidebar expanded, and the “My Widgets Sidebar Panel” open.

  1. Click on File>Preferences

  2. Click on Widgets

  3. Checkmark “Show Widgets Toolbar” and click Ok.

(You can remove this after the installation is completed and working by deselecting this preference.)

  1. The My Widgets Sidebar Panel should be open. It displays “getting started” type info - you do NOT need to do anything here.

C. Installation:

  1. Copy the Teamstudio Ed. 29 install files to your laptop

  2. Open the Zip, and copy the folder “tsinst” to the root of your C:, creating c:\tsinst\ and its contents.

  3. Open your Notes Client so that the My Widgets Sidebar Panel is open.

  4. Explore c:\tsinst\widgets.

  5. Drag the file c:\tsinst\widgets\extension_ciao.xml and drop it on the My Widgets Sidebar Panel. It may not appear that anything is happening, but if yoiu look at the bottom right, the status bar will indicate it is processing something. If you open the progress tab, you will see “Provisioning Widgets”.

  6. At the popup, click “Install this plug-in and add the signer…”, then click Ok.

  7. When prompted to restart Notes, click Yes to allow the restart.

  8. Open designer, and attempt to open any configured template from server.

When prompted, enter the SN & License Key. CIAO is now installed.
