Isarray(rtitem.EmbeddedObjects) is empty after replacing an existing attachment

An attachment is required in the Body field to be able to save, for some reasons “Isarray(rtitem.EmbeddedObjects)” return false, even if an .xls attachment is present.

Here is the code used:

doc setup …

Set rtitem = doc.GetFirstItem( “Body” )

	If ( rtitem.Type = RICHTEXT ) Then

		Call rtitem.Update

		If Isarray(rtitem.EmbeddedObjects) Then

			Forall o In rtitem.EmbeddedObjects ' rtitem.EmbeddedObjects

				If Ucase(Right(o.Name, 4)) = ".XLS" Then

					xlsFound = True

					Exit Forall

				End If

			End Forall

		End If

	End If
