Hello Alain,

Generally we are only certifying new operating systems when releasing a new product version.

Domino 12 has not been formally tested on SLES15sp6 yet. Please note that SP6 has been released a few days ago and since then we have not released any new version of Domino that would allow announcing compatibility.

However, Domino 14.0 is expected to run just fine on 15sp6 if the required libraries are provided.

The system requirements of Domino will reflect what Linux distributions have been fully tested (aka 'certified') to run with Domino.

Customers can however run Domino on any Linux distribution if it provides the minimum requirements for the kernel and required libraries.

I was just waiting for SLES support for Domino 14, as it was stated during beta. The main problem was glibc release, and the correct glibc version appeared in SLES 15sp6 last month. So as Domino 12 is supported on SLES 15, I was wondering when Domino 14 would be officially supported.

Hello Alain,

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6 was released last week on 16th July 2024.

For Domino Server 14, please find herewith documentation for system requirements.

The Domino Server 14.0 was released in Dec-2023. Hence, it has not been tested for the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6. We apologize, however for SUSE Linux (SLES) it will be updated once it is certified for Domino 14.

The system requirements for HCL Domino include RHEL/CentOS and SUSE because those are the releases that HCL has tested (aka “certified”) to run on. However, HCL Domino will run on other distributions if a certain minimum criteria is met.

Customers have reported Domino 14 and 12.0.2 to run on SLES 15 SP6, but HCL has not certified this version yet. Please refer below URL from the open-source community for additional information.

Please note that - HCL Domino 14 requires glibc to be provided in a specific version which SUSE Linux 15 SP3 does not provide. SLES 15sp6 provides glibc in the required version but has not been fully tested yet.

Strange. There is a bug in the page : release is marked as "light green" : certified, but as you read details, it says it's not.

I do run 14.0.x with SLES 15sp6 also; I know it works but some customers are observing support policies with attention...
