Hallo,
one of my customers uses IEI 9.0.1 on a Domino Server of the same version (plus FP).
He had now a security finding telling him, that the DB2 connector has several critical security issues. Is it possible to update the DB2 connector from currently 10.5 to 11.5 without having to update IEI (HEI) and the Domino-Server. This is planned, but will take some time.
So:
- is it possible to update just a connector?
- is it a supported combination (most likely not)
- will it work?

Seems you need to upgrade LEI as well (to HEI 11.0.x perhaps)

Please note that these are client versions. The supportability of a certain back end server version depends if those support these clients. For example, if Oracle Server 19c supports the use of Oracle Client 11g or 12c, then Oracle 19c is supported with HEI.
1. DB2 Client 10.x and 11.x
2. Oracle Client 11g, 12c, 18c, and 19c
3. SQL Server 2012 and 2016

Hi Manuel,
As Amit pointed out above, DB2 11.5 is not officially supported with LEI 9.x but it should work. You should just need to upgrade the DB2 client installed on the LEI machine to 11.5 and make sure it can connect to the DB2 server outside of Domino and LEI. It should work from within Domino and LEI. If anything goes wrong you can always downgrade the DB2 client back to its current version.
