Is it possible to show Master & Detail in a View?

Hi,Can anyone tell me how to resolve the following problem

I have Two Forms:

Master (Employee Master) : Code & Name

Salary Details (salary) : Code, Basic,Hra,DA

Can I make a view with the following details ? :

Code Name Basic HRA DA

The Content of Name Column Should come through Master Document seeking by code . I am not interested to take Name Field in Salary Details Form as Computed Field.

If it is not possible then how can it may be shown to Users.

That is possible but the document in view would be in different row. like…in one row Code, Basic,Hra,DA and in second row “Name” as this separate document.

if you want in one row…u have to pull the name field in salary doc. if u r able to find some solution, also let me know

If you want to do this with two forms, you could also create the Salary form as a response document and select Show responses in a hierarchy in the view. The data would still be in separate documents, but you could group all of the salary documents for each employee under its parent document. Read up on this so you can plan it properly if you implement a response hierarchy. Your other option is to copy the needed fields from the salary document to the employee document and display them that way. If this is the case, you might consider simply using the salary documents as “input only” type documents, to avoid keeping duplicate data. In most cases, I would recommend not doing this, but in using hide/whens and sections to fake the look of a second input form. It would generally be easier to manage.
