Is it possible to generate a new ID for a user who doesn't have one?

Hi there,

I have a user who’s been using webmail since she started in our company, but now she wants to ‘upgrade’ to a real Notes client. Understandable.

But the thing is that, my predecessor didn’t generate an ID file for her since she was originally not planned to be here for long.

So the problem is that I’d like her to have an ID file, so she can use a real Notes client, but without having to delete and re-register her as a user. The mails are easy, but I don’t know how to “save” the contents of her calendar.

Our server is running 6.5.2 and the clients are version 6.5.4.

How is this done most practically?

Regards,

Soren

Just reregister the user overwriting the existing entry-with no mailfile created or with diff mailfile name, when user is registered update person doc with mailfile name

Only thing is as new certificate is generated for user, user will not be able to read old encrypted mails sent to him

Also note that if there are any encrypted field in any databases, then the data from those field cannot be read.

Hmm, that sounds like an idea. That’s what I’ll do.

Thanks guys.
