Is it possible to disable the quick pick in the Lotus Notes client?

I want to further customize my user’s client experience.

We don’t use Lotus Notes for email (unfortunately) so I want to disable a couple of things:

  1. Disable the quick pick icon at the bottom right of the client. I looked in this forum, and on the bookmark.nsf, but can not seem to find a place to edit this. I don’t even know if it is possible.

  2. Disable the File–>New–>Memo, Calendar Entry, etc…

Are those possible to edit? Or are they just ingrained into the client…

File → Preferences → Status bar preferences …

Uncheck Quickpick …

i think ‘2’ is Notes client default (at least as far as Notes7 is concerned- you may check it out in ver8 - maybe there’s something different there) … after all you need something when u click on ‘File’ - don’t you?

Correct. Still need ‘Close’, ‘Database–>Open’, etc…
