Is it a bug with updall?

a web-based database has a lot of updated documents every day. as it takes much times to load any view of the database first time, a scheduled agent launch updall as like “load updall xxx.nsf”. it is so fast to load some views with web browser, but it takes so long times to load other views. i am afraid the UPDALL could not update ALL VIEWS when there are a lot of updated documents. my domino server is 6.0.4. when i look Domino Fix List, i found a document about updall : http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/r5fixlist.nsf/5c087391999d06e7852569280062619d/613ee1ac5cdd6ad18525718f00420eb9?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,updall

i do not know if my problem is related with this. my concern is that 1. is it Domino bug? 2. this problem was fixed? if yes, can i get any reference about the bug?

any help welcome. thanks

It is more likely that your views have something special about them, such as time/date sensitive formulas, than that the indexer didn’t update them.

You can log the update activity to verify that it updates all views.

You can see if a notes client can open the views fast/slowly. This would verify whether the view itself is at fault.

You can open the view repeatedly to see if the view is slow the first time and then fast vs. slow on repeated attempts. This would also verify whether the view is updated.
