I use the Notes Journal database a lot. I can get Notes data to my iPhone using mSuite and now Traveler but neither application has a process for get the Notes Journal to my iPhone. I’m a roaming user so there is a copy of my Journal on the server. I’ve browsed to the Journal database using Safari on the iPhone but the documents are not displayed. I’m guessing there is a lot of javascript or something that is preventing it. I’ve tried changing the properties of the database like Use Javascript when displaying pages and Use Enhanced HTML to display pages. Neither setting is working for me. Any good way to get this database on my iPhone? strebe@ntc.edu
Subject: iPhone limitation
Unfortunately iPhone “Notes” can sync via iTunes but not via the ActiveSync protocol (which is what mNotes/mSuite/Traveler use).
Like you I have made extensive use of my Notes Journal over the years but have recently moved on to Evernote and find it to be a suitable replacement.
Subject: What a pitty! Looking forward to iPhone and was hoping that Journal sync was supported. Does Evernote sync with Notes somehow?
Subject: No, but it doesn’t but…
Check out http://www.evernote.com to see what you can do w/ it and what it integrates with.
