With a recent upgrade to 7.0 (apparently), I now get an exclamation point pop-up showing “#29:5” and a subsequent “Invalid RTF data on the clipboard” error when trying to paste something that was copied from a PDF file. What might be causing this?
Unfortunately, this comes with a new laptop, new Adobe V7, an upgrade to Notes 7, etc., so the cause might be anywhere!
Have you heard any fix for this? I have a user with a 7.0.2 client on XP and she has a table in a MS Word document and when she tries to copy and paste the table into a new email she gets “RTF Input Contains Invalid RTF Statement” and “Invalid RTF Data on the Clipboard”. However if she sends me the word document I have no problem using my 7.0.2 client to copy and paste the table into a new email.
I’m seeing this too, on 7.0 and 7.0.1, but not 6.5.4. I either get “#29:5” or “RTF input ended prematurely”, followed by “Invalid RTF data on the clipboard”. If I save the clipboard to disk and view it in a hex editor, the rtf section looks fine.
I had the same problem today - Notes 7 and Acrobat 7.It seems to be a bug in Lotus Notes 7.
Here is a workaround:
If you choose the style of the text field to be “operating-system” instead of “Notes” (border around the field) than paste of text from Acrobat works !
