Internet Explorer email program

We are testing a desktop which has Internet Explorer running locally and Lotus Notes is delivered via softgrid.

Does anyone know how we would get IE to allow us to set Notes as the default mail program ? It’s not an option because Notes is not installed locally on the machines.

Not that I know much, from what briefly I have read online can you not make IE part of the SoftGrid apps and remove it from the main desktops

Thanks for your response Yazdi. Yes, we can do this and package them together, the problem is that we want IE on the desktops and Notes is only being delivered via softgrid as a temporary solution until we migrate to Exchange (don’t shout at me !). IE also has to integrate with the other apps which are installed locally.
