Integrated Sametime Client and Notes 8.5 Beta 2

I have installed the Notes 8.5 Beta 2 Standard (Eclipse)Client and try to login to sametime with the integrated sametime client without success. I get the error message: “Unable to access Sametime. Please try again later”. With the “Basic” Beta Client, the login is working.

Any idea? Many thanks.

Hi,I haven’t installed 8.5 yet, so maybe this does not apply. However, in 8.0.x, the Basic Client and Standard Client function completely different for ST. So, if your Basic client is working, that means your location doc is configured correctly. The location doc is not used for the Standard Client. You need to go to File–> Preferences → Sametime and configure your ST plugin there. It’s like they are 2 different products. I hope this helps you for 8.5.

Subject: Reset user, try IP and uncheck SSO

Hi,I’d try the ‘reset user’ option if you go to File–> Preferences–> Sametime → Sametime communities. Instead of the fully qualified name of your ST server, try the actual IP address. Also, you might not want to use SSO for now just in case it’s causing the issue. Just try automatically logging on instead, until you get it working. Then, go ahead and re-enable single sign on.

Hi BjornThanks for the tip. I removed the entry VPS_ALLOWED_LOGIN_TYPES=xxx. After reboot, the logon was successful.
