Dear all,I have installed Lotus notes 6.5.1 both from Server and client side (as administrator). Although I can log as administrator on the system I am asked for the passwd for instant messaging. I enter the administrator’s passwd but it will not be accepted.
Can anyone help me in this regard, which steps I have to follow in order to have access to the instant messaging server?

The password you need to use with Instant Messaging is your Internet password.
Check your Person doc in the Domino Directory to see if it is set and if not - set it. You may need to wait for any change to become active - depending on how your Sametime server is set up and where its LDAP server is.

Thanks Colin I will check my Person doc in the Domino Directory. I further ask you if, in order for Instant messaging to be active the Sametime server need to be set up. In fact, when I have installed the Domino Server and administrator I did not set up any Sametime server. Many thanks for your help, have good day. S.
