Apparently there was an ODBC connected installed on our old Cognos server to pull data from an expense reporting database on one of our Domino servers. The old Cognos server had the NotesSQL connector configured. I didn’t set that up so am unfamiliar with what’s required.
I’ve downloaded both the 32-bit and the 64-bit ODBC connector for Domino 9. The Cognos server is Windows 2008 R2 64-bit. Do I need to have a Notes client installed on this server as well? The old server appeared to have the Notes client installed and configured under a now departed system admin (who must have done the original setup).
Do I need the Notes 9 client installed and do I need to configure it? Can it be the Basic client? And since there is no 64-bit Notes client am I installing the 32-bit ODBC connector?
Is there anything else I need to know? I did see something that said the Notes 9 Installation PATH had to be in the OS path environment variable.
Thanks
