I’m hoping someone can help me install Notes 6.5.5 on a Mac OS/X.
The first problem was getting the downloaded .sea file to expand without prompting for a password. Ultimately, I solved that one by decompressing and converting to a .zip file on a Windows machine. (KMills on Ed Brill’s blog suggesting right-clicking in OS X and choosing an option to install the Installer, but I didn’t see that option.)
Now I’ve got an icon on my desktop labelled “Install Lotus Notes” but when I click on it, the icon briefly expands then contracts but does nothing else; the install routine doesn’t begin.
I’m trying to install 6.5.5 on a new PowerBook with 10.4.3

Hmmm… every download that I’ve received has been an HQX file, where are you getting the SEA archive?
Subject: SEA is new with 6.5.5
I believe with 6.5.5 the archive format was changed from HQX to SEA.
I downloaded it from the PartnerWorld Software Access site.

Might be, I currently don’t have access to the partner side. I’m remembering last time. If they didn’t encode the SEA to run a file when it expanded, then maybe look for a folder with the expanded archive in it. Maybe it just expanded, as do the HQX files, and then you have to click on the setup Lotus Notes… ?
I use stuffit SEA builder to create installations for MACs, but I usually tell it to run the setup after it expands. Of course, the problem is what folder/location did it expand the files to?

Found an update to 10.0.1 of the Stuffit Expander today, and everything worked perfectly!
