Hi!
I’m wondering if it’s possible to insert a pagebreak within a table. I have a form consisting of a “master table” that shows only one row at a time, i.e. every row is a tab on top of the form. I want every tab (row) of this master table to be on a seperate printpage but the “create Page Break” is grayed out within the table and within all the components inside it. There is a lot of information exchange going on between the different tabs so I would rather not split them up into different forms.
Any help would be highly appreciated. =)
Regards
Frank
Subject: Inserting pagebreak within a table?
I think you are going to have to copy the content of each tab onto a separate form and, to print the document, change the form programmatically, once for each tab, and render the result onto a rich text field.
You will need
Forms:
prnPrint ← contains only a Rich text field called Body. This form displays the print dialog in its PostOpen.
prnTab1 ← contains everything from tab1
prnTab2 etc
NotesDocuments:
printDoc
NotesRichtextItems:
printBody
script:
set printdoc = db.createdocument
call printdoc.replaceitemvalue(“Form”,“prnPrint”)
set printBody = printDoc.createrichtextitem(“Body”)
’ Now capture tab1 as rich text and add a page break
call mydoc.replaceitemvalue(“Form”, “prnTab1”)
call mydoc.rendertortitem( printBody )
call printBody.addpagebreak
’ Repeat for tab 2…
’ Note that you do not have to save printdoc
call ws.editdocument(false, printdoc, false)
