In my company, We use html signature automatically inserted in lotus notes. I find a strange problem that if automatically insert signature, create new memo or reply will spent four or five minutes. it seems that notes is loading the signature. but if disable inserting signature funtion. Create new memo or reply will be normallysome computer have this problems but others which use same hareware, xp, software not. I have reinstalled the notes or xp. But it’s not useful. Last week, I try to use IE 6.0 instead of 7.0. the problem seems to be solved. But today this way is not react on a other computer

Usually when the Notes client “hangs” when working with HTML it is most likely trying to connect to a server which it can’t reach.
This happens if your company is connecting thru a proxy to the internet. If this is the case the solution is simple. Open your location document and on the basics tab fill out the fields for proxy configuration.

THX for reply. I have put signature file in local dirve (ex: C dirve, D drive) and my company use 10m/dsl connect to internet not thru a proxy. So I feel it’s a very strange problem : (

where is the signature file stored? if it’s not local to the PC then the PC is having issues connecting to the server where the html file is stored.
