Since we upgraded our Domino Server to 8.5 we get a lot of “Change HTTP Password in Domino Directory” Administration Requests. These requests are only on people who have upgraded their Notes client to Notes 8.5 and they’re created every 10 minutes for as long as the user is logged on with his Notes client. Obviously the Administration Requests are not caused by the actual people themselves. Their HTTP Password also is not changed (though the requests complete successfully). This causes a lot of replication overhead, both on the Admin4.nsf database as the Domino Directory (Person documents are updated each time).
On another smaller domain I don’t have this issue. Does anyone see this behavior in their 8.5 domain?
Subject: Doesn’t that kill the ID Vault functionality
That interval is the time in ms that Notes waits for the ID to get out of the ID vault to the client. If you make it that sure, you have to have a speedy network and very responsive server to still get the ID in time. I think making it that short actually kills part of the ID Vault functionality, doesn’t it?
We have the same issue. It seems related to the security policy “Update Internet Password when Notes client password changes”. As soon as I disable it, the amount of admin requests goes away.I opened a PMR and IBM opened up an SPR as they were able to replicate the issue.
