iNotes contacts just to understand

I’m just curious about this. When we synch or local contacts with our iNotes, the contacts are getting stored in our mail database? If that is right, why is it that we need a copy of names.nsf for contacts. The reason I ask is when hard drives crash, so do names.nsf files. We try to get people to copy that to the net occasionall but that never happens. Is there a way to access the iNotes contact list from a notes client?

Sure there is…

Just go to the hidden view called “(iNotes_Contacts)”

Hold down Ctrl + Shift and goto the “View” menu and select “Go To…” to get access. You can paste these documents directly back to the local names.nsf if you need to.
