I am currently testing and iNotes setup that is going to be used in an environment that has its machines locked down so they users cannot download ActiveX attachment component for iNotes.
I read somewhere the only way to get around this is to login as administrator and login to iNotes on all the machines ?
If you have a standard image for the desktop environment, you might add to this the installed ActiveX attachment component and associated registry settings.
Windows Installer also has the ability to push specific files (such as the iNotes upload control files) to desktops and update associated registry settings, so it is the same as if a user has accepted the control from the browser.
I know many customers have addressed this issue, would be great to hear more specific details of how folks have deployed such needed ActiveX components to locked down desktops.
