Incorrect number of unread marks

Problem/Query:

I have two users who have suddenly have a large number of unread mails in the Inbox and in mail folders in one of two mail database replicas. In the other mail replica the number of unread marks in both Inbox and mail folders is correct. How can I force the correct number of unread marks to replicate to the other replica?

Hi Andrew,

Since you have one “good” replica and one “bad” replica, you are can try to fix this.
You can use Technique # 2 in this article: Step-by-step troubleshooting guide for unread marks - Customer Support
If Technique # 2 doesnt work try to use # 3 and #4.

I’d like the server to automatically detect when something’s wrong and fix it. If the number of users exceeds the thousands, relying on this article becomes unrealistic. An administrator should be assigned to this task exclusively. The problem should be solved by HCL, not administrators.
