Inbound S/MIME-signed mail problem

Hello all,

I don’t know how to deal with a ¿minor? problem receiving an S/MIME signed mail from an Outlook-based customer. The problem itself is that, although I receive the mail from this customer, when opening it I don’t get the option to create an Internet Cross Certificate between my user and his e-mail account in my pab. Instead, I get a .cer attached file containing his Thawte freemail member certificate.

Basically, what I need is to get the dialog-box to cross certify his e-mail so, in further inbound S/MIME-signed mails from this customer, I can see the ‘Signed by…’ information in the status bar when opening a mail.

Sorry for my English. Thanks in advance.

Pedro.

Are you converting MIME to CD on receipt? (Person document, “Format preference for incoming mail:” set to “Prefers Notes Rich Text”?

Subject: RE: Inbound S/MIME-signed mail problem

In my case it is set to Prefers Notes Rich Text, but I’m almost sure I have seen this behaviour in other users whose format is set to No Preference.

I’ll try it. Thanks a lot for your input.

Pedro.
