Importing Lotus 1-2-3 files

When I try to import a Lotus 123 file I can only select files of type *.WK1

When I choose a later version, I get a invalid format message.

When will notes be able import later versions of 123.

There is a 8192 row limit on .WK1 files and I am trying to import a file that has many more rows.

(I have to create smaller files before importing)

I’m confused…you say you are trying to import a file that has many more rows (than 8192), but you are trying to import a Lotus 123 file? What is this bigger file…what format? Excel?

Subject: 32 bit versions of 1-2-3 allow for 65536 lines

I have a large CSV file.

I open it using lotus 123, I can save it as a *.123 file, but in order to import the data into a Lotus Notes view I have to save it as a *.WK1, but there is a row limitation of 8192 for *.WK1 files.

I’m not sure if it matters, but I regularly import/export .wk4 files into Notes. I haven’t the faintest clue what the differences between a .wk1 and a .wk4 file are.

Even the .WK4 files have a row limit of 8192.

Subject: The differences…

Many more differences than this but hte key are:

WK1 (1-2-3 2.x releases) contains no formatting, and has 8192 limit to lines.

WK3 1-2-3 3.x releases, contains no formatting, limit of 8192 lines, but has multiple sheets.

WK4 1-2-3 for Windows 16 bit versions, contains formatting, multiple sheets, and 8192 lines

.123 for Windows 32 but versions, more lines 65536, multiple sheets, contains formatting.

Does anyone from IBM know when/if Notes will be able to import *.123 files?
