We have a list of emails and faxes in DBF file format.
Can we read it into NOTES 8 client as contacts or email list(not as good as contacts)? Thanks!

Subject: One off import?
Is this something you need to do on an ongoing basis or a one-off?
If this is just a one time thing, I’d bring the dbf into a spreadsheet, save it off as a wk4 and import it using the normal import method in your address book. You could also import a structured text version of the dbf.
Haven’t worked with DBF’s in ages now.
Brings me back to my clipper days and dbu days…
Subject: Yes! One time job!
I see! Transform the *.dbf to *.123 and then to Notes contacts! A free of charge solution! Thanks! ^^
Subject: Importing DBF files
There is a really usefull (german!) tool to import dbf, csv, txt and xml. It is called dBase.Integrator and you can find it here: www.dbase2notes.de.It cames as a “user version” with an easy to use frontend and as a dev-kit for programmers. I’m using both since about 4 years and it works fine.
