Problem/Query:
We are starting to plan an upgrade of our 160+ Domino servers from 12.0.2 to 14.x, most likely 14.5.
Have any admins noticed any adverse impacts due to the change to using Local Service instead of LocalSystem, or have people ‘played it safe’ and continued to use LocalSystem?

When running as a service, you need to check the directory access permissions.
LocalService must have full access to the agent output destination and other locations.

I am a domino admin since version 3, and I’ve followed so many upgrades even from version 9 to 14.5.

It is important to updates all folder tree security properties to ensure data access to the local service logon.
I think this is a must for the future, as all future domino upgrade will propose local service logon, so when you miss only one of them you get so many errors (no one that point to the exact cause)

The “Local service” account is used for running Domino server as Service.
You can use default account “Local service” account or define the seperate account (As per your business requirement) while installation of 14.0 and 14.5.
Please make sure the said account must have appropriate access rights on Domino Directories such as Domino and Data directories.
