Currently we are doing the impact analysis of Oraganisation Name change. Thank God server name and domian will remain same.
The only thing I know that after Organisation name change, we won’t be able to access encrypted mails and encrypted fields. (Am I right?)
Can anyone pls tell me what other impact would be there after Org name change.
e.g., User Name/Old_Org to User Name/New_Org
One more query, after how much time authors, readers fields get updated in documents (once user accepts his changed name). in the mean time whether user able to access their documents (despite the fact their name is changed)
when my old company went through this nightmare, the biggest problem we had was where Author/Reader names fields were derived from other fields. We used Analyzer from TeamStudio to do an analysis of the design of every db that we had, then used the output from that to identify all Readers and Authors fields, and checked each of them to see if they contained a formula referring to the content of other fields. If they did, then entered the relevant field names and automatically generated an agent to correct those field names. It was very painful!
