IIS 5 on Win2K with Domino 7

Using IIS 5 on win2k server with Domino 7 and I got the basic html pages to come up but when I try to access notes pages I get the ‘page cannot be displayed’. I followed the instructions in the Domino 7 help in where you add the following line to the notes.ini file:HTTPEnableConnectorHeaders=1

but to no avail. It worked fine with R5 where I had to add in ISAPI filters, niisxtn.dll I believe was one, but just can’t get it going on R7.

Is there something else I need to add or can someone help me out. I’ma stuck at this point.

Thanks

Kenny

Check your registry settings as the newer WAS Plugin DLL looks for a registry setting based on the DLL version.

Examples:

  • HKLM \ IBM \ Websphere Application Server \ 4.0

  • HKLM \ IBM \ Websphere Application Server \ 5.0.0.0

  • HKLM \ IBM \ Websphere Application Server \ 5.1.0.0

Thanks for the response. I have no such keys in the registry. \IBM\Websphere Application Server.…Do I even need to setup WAS plugin to get my website going on IIS 5?

Hmmm…ok. I’m not too sure about how you have your system configured but have a read of the article I wrote some time ago about getting IIS & Domino to work together. While it may not reflect your particular configuration there may be some tips which could help:

Thanks for the information Alex. We used some of your tips and at least got it to do something when going to a domino page. Except what it wants to do when going to the page is ‘download it’ rather than ‘displaying it’ in the browser.

Can you think of why it might be doing that?

Thanks again for all your help

Got it going!!the reason for the ‘file download’ was because executables was not checked as a permission for the sePlugins virtual directory.

Thanks for all your help Alex
