I enjoyed your recent co-authored article entitled: "Exploiting
IBM DB2 in your Lotus Domino 7 application".
Here’s an idea that I would love to see implemented:
Our company wants to give Query View functionality to disconnected laptop users. So the thought would be that DB2 Everyplace could answer SQL Queries directly from the R7 Notes client; i.e., without the need for a Domino server intermediary. Stated more tersely: We’d like to give the power of R7-DB2 to mobile users.
Where would this notion be on the Realism scale? – with 1 being “Completely ridiculous” to 10 being “A fabulous idea – we’ll get to work on it right away!”.
