ID Vault not accepting ID uploads

I have set up a new ID Vault on a server.

I am shown in the Admin Client as an administrator of the Vault, and I have manager access to the Vault database.

The directory has a global policy (*/Orgname), that links to the security settings document for the vault.

When I try to upload my own ID to the vault, selecting the ID and giving the password, a notification appears to tell me that the upload was successful, but in fact there is no record created in the vault.

When I try to load several IDS for other users by .csv, the report tells me for each that "you are not authorized to perform that operation", and again no vault records are created.

What am I missing?

Hi, Are you able to perform other Vault operations like password reset\id file extract?

Check if the ID vault name is mentioned correctly as documented here ->https://support.hcl-software.com/csm?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0114842

Thanks

At present no IDs are are stored in the vault, so that does not apply yet. We are trying to load any IDs to get started.

Thank you for the link - the vault name is configured correctly according to that article.

Hello

Please check the following items.

https://help.hcl-software.com/domino/12.0.0/admin/conf_idvaultmanagementroles_c.html

  • Administrator role for ID vault
  • Auditor role for id vault database
  • Password reset authority

Regards,

Shigemitsu Tanaka

As mentioned in the OP, I am a vault administrator and have Manager access to the vault db. I also have password reset authority, although that does not come into play yet.

A curious update.

Now, when I try to load my own ID, I get a different result. I select the ID file and the dialog correctly reports my name from the file. On entering the password and ordering the upload I am not told "file does not exist"!

Nothing has changed in the configuration, as far as I know, since I raised this question.
