I have Lotus Notes 8.5 client. Test user has 8.5 home server. ID Vault setup was successful, policy document was created and assigned to test user. Setup has been complete for a week and user ID has still not uploaded to the ID Vault. Any ideas?

You may want to double-check that the user is in a policy that is vaulted.
Has the test user authenticated with the server at least once? Otherwise, the Lotus Notes client will not know about the new policy. Afterwards, has the client been left up and running?
If the test user authenticated with the server right after the vault policy changes were made, you may want to try it again, as there is a slight delay before policy changes take effect.
You can also check the user security panel in Lotus Notes (File - Security - User Security) to see if the vault information is there - under “Your ID settings.” (It will say something like “This ID file has been backed up into vault ”)
Subject: Apparent a policy assignment problem
After various troubleshooting steps, I explicitly assigned the policy in the test user’s person doc in the directory and it started working. I guess I need to investigate this organization’s policies a little further to see what’s going on.

…please post a Policy Sinopsis for a user with the problem and one that doesnt have it?
I think I had the same error and I fix it the same way and we are about to deploy several policies that would help me debug it in case this happens again.
