I am trying to insert an icon into a view panel column (the source view displays the icons but I understand that ti needs to be coded within the column’s value in the view panel)
I have read this great article - http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/ddwiki.nsf/dx/02042009032445PMWEBRXJ.htm - but the approach does not appear to be working in the Notes client. Is this correct? Is there any way I can display icons in a column in the Notes client?
Thank,s
Mike
Subject: Try this . . .
“How are view icons referenced in Column formulas in Notes?” http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21089446
In summary: Your View’s column must have the “Display values as icons” proprty set (1st tab of the View properties pop-up dialog). Then the formula for the View must compute to a number (see above article for examples).
Subject: Please refer to the Notes help…
in particular the document titled, “Displaying an icon in a column”.
Subject: My bad
Sorry both - maybe I should have been clearer in my initial post
It is a view panel control in an XPage that is used in the Notes client, not a NOtes client view
Subject: Why?

I did read that document - no mention of XPages or view panels
