Ibm notes 9 and problems with drag & drop attachments in os x 10.8

hi, we upgraded from os x 10.6.8 & lotus notes 8.5.x to os x 10.8.4 & ibm notes 9 and have the following problem: if we drag & drop an attachment to an email, sometimes we get the following error message: NSD is collecting crash information, please wait… and then nsd has completed. log has been written to … in the crash report I can see: Process: eclipse [9257] Path: /Applications/IBM Notes.app/Contents/MacOS/Notes Identifier: com.ibm.Notes Version: 9.0 (13067) Code Type: X86 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [146] User ID: 503 Date/Time: 2013-07-08 15:53:39.323 +0200 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.8.4 (12E55) Report Version: 10 Interval Since Last Report: 192046 sec Crashes Since Last Report: 185 Per-App Interval Since Last Report: 134881 sec Per-App Crashes Since Last Report: 13 Anonymous UUID: D77E254C-A02B-AAB3-A528-F143E0A16A65 Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000 Application Specific Information: *** CFRelease() called with NULL *** I think we found a sheme, but it’s not 100% reproducible because - with pdf, tif and psd-files we almost never have this problem - with jpg and png we have this problem very often, especially with files are larger than 1 MB we have this configuration also on 4 other iMacs - with the same problems. thanks for your help in advance! regards, ferdinand

is there a compatibility-problem between notes and adobe-apps?

Subject: Delete the Adobe Apps…

…and test it. In Notes 8.5.3 it was not possible to add attachments using drag and drop if Adobe CS 6 was installed.

We have similar problem. I’ve tested with a file. First time it did not create a problem. Then I changed its name with adding a Turkish letter, it created a crash.

I will try the reinstall (not upgrade) recommendation.
