IBM Lotus Notes on MacBook Air Hang Problem After Upgrading Mac OS 10.15 Catalina.

maybe you experience the same issue I have reported on this forum here:

Notes Client Mac 10.0.1 on Catalina: Notes Client sloooowed down by ongoing XProtectService intercept

Have a look at "Activity Manager" whether the XProtectService is triggered and makes the Mac hang for some 20-40 seconds. But, in my case, there was never a crash - only the blocking hang-phase.
