I have someone else's mail database on another person's workspace

Once in a while one of my users will end up with somebody else’s email database bookmarked on their workspace. The database owner did send them an email - could they have sent their whole database as a bookmark? The real clincher her is the person who gets the bookmark can read all the mail even though they don’t have access to the database.

If the answer is already in here, I didn’t search right and would appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Thank you.

First off, just because they have an icon for the person’s email DB, doesn’t mean they can access it. If they can access the person’s email minus the publicly available stuff such as calendar, tasks, etc, then the ACL of the person in question is not setup correctly. Second, there are many ways to get someone’s icon on your workspace. Once such way is by opening their calendar.

check the ACL.

Also if your users are working with replicas, there could be a replica in the computer with “enforce ACl consistency” not checked which defeats the ACL.
