I get the following error whenever I open a response document. Please tell me why does this error come and also help me in resolving it

This is the error message I get whenever I try to open a response document

Filed: ‘NamesGMInternal_T’: Entry not found in index or view’s index not built

Sounds like you have a computed field with an @DbColumn or @DbLookup that is failing. You should use @IsError in conjunction with the lookup or use the [FAILSILENT] parameter.

Hope that helps.

Yes. The NamesGMInternal_T field is a computed field and the formula used is as follows:

View := “Keyword_V”;

Key := “Authors GM”;

Col := 2;

Val := @Name([Abbreviate];@Unique(@DbLookup(“”:“NoCache” ; “”;View; Key; Col)));

@If(@IsError(Val); @Unique(@DbLookup(“” : “NoCache”;“”; View; Key; Col)); Val)

Please tell me what exactly I need to do in this formula

This is probably not what you want…But it will let you open the form in the event of a @DBLookup failure. In other words it will SUPPRESS the error, but it will not FIX the error.

While you are at it, make sure that the 1st column in the view named “Keyword_V” is sorted.

View := “Keyword_V”;

Key := “Authors GM”;

Col := 2;

Val := @Name([Abbreviate];@Unique(@DbLookup(“”:“NoCache” ; “”;View; Key; Col)));

@If(@IsError(Val); “ERROR: While looking up ‘Authors GM’ in ‘Keyword_V’” ; Val)

I hope you mean it’s Computed for display, not Computed.

Here’s a better formula:

View := “Keyword_V”;

Key := “Authors GM”;

Col := 2;

Val := @Name([Abbreviate];@Unique(@DbLookup(“”:“NoCache” ; “”;View; Key; Col)));

@If(@IsError(Val); “‘Authors GM’ keyword document not found!|” ; Val)

However, there’s another problem here. The fact that this lookup returns an error, means that the data you were trying to look up is not in the database. You must create a “Authors GM” lookup document containing the names you were trying to look up.
