I feel Unconnected using this

I have never been a fan of things that take up important space on the page that can tell me something.

Lots of white space is not great, unless you have a HUGE monitor, otherwise, I am scrolling up and down, which is not very practical at all.

Nothing on the home page is an action, everything requires you to open a new window to do anything. Why add clicks for no reason? This isn’t a website you are validating people use, this is meant for work, and work wants efficiency.

I feel like there are 4 different calendar systems in use. Verse, Quick Compose, Team calendar, and OnTime. Which is probably what it is, but different UI, different functions, different locations, just make it feel disconnected.

I’d also like to see an easier way to get to my apps, whatever they may be. For example, my payroll/time sheet, HR Links, Browser Links, Domino apps, you know, the things people use in their daily activity.

What’s old is new again, Workplace and Connections had/did some of this, and we are trying again, but do people really ask for this? In this format?

What on the home page couldn’t have been a simple box stacked and movable, that could be in one column on the left side with an expand +/- like in Notes so it doesn’t become a mile long, but like our phones would have a dot for anything new in the box as a notification? I presume some preferences for what people want to see will be baked in at some point.

I don’t want to work in one portal a la Notes clients, but I do want to be able to get in/out of one easily enough.

Looking to hear more on the call later today.

Hello. Thanks for the feedback. I can see how the experience might feel a bit disconnected, especially when there isn’t much content on the homepage yet. But point taken, there’s definitely room to make the overall experience feel more cohesive.

One thing we are trying to do with the homepage is surface things that actually need your attention, rather than just displaying information. For example, you can take quick actions on emails and calendar invites directly from the homepage, such as responding or forwarding, and you can also complete tasks there.

That said, I agree there’s more we can do to make the different pieces feel more connected and make the homepage more useful as you have more content and activity. Appreciate you calling it out.
