HTTP Web Server: Couldn't find design note - (database name)

older databases open up on the web, however, newer databases don’t, i always get the message:

HTTP Web Server: Couldn’t find design note - (database name)

I checked the properties of my database and they are identical to the properties of the older databases (that are accessible on the web).

Anything else I might be overlooking?

Are you getting the error when opening the form or when you submit the form?

Chris, thank for the reposnse. Niether. I can’t even broswe to the nsf file. In the web broses i get a 404, on the server console it’s: HTTP Web Server: Couldn’t find design note - (database name)

Makes no sense, because the file IS there! and other databases work, like older db’s i porgrammed and all the db’s in the mail folder…

Hi Stephen,

By any chance is the database you are trying to access based on the new iNotes template? If so… try adding &ui=webmail to the end of your URL. HTH!

Mark, no it isn’t. But i tried added that to the URL anyways but still no luck!

Stephen,

Sounds goofy to me… try making a new blank database on your server and just put the form you are trying to use in it. Then preview this form and see if that works. From there you will be able to determine if this is a server setting or a form configuration. If it still doesnt open then post what properties you are using on the form and any lookup or calculations on the form and maybe I can help.

If it does open, then you should check the database properties for any discrepancies.

Mark, I think i’m getting closer… The first thing that should be loading is a frameset called DefaultFrameSet. When i open the frameset in desinger and try to preview in Web Broswer I get the message: “The element is hidden from the web and cannot be previewed”

So i went ot design properties and unchecked the “Hide from Web”…

and voila it works now!
