I started receiving this errors on the Domino console (and log file) after upgrading to 7.0 from 6.5.4:
HTTP Server: Warning, duplicate WebSite IP address or Hostname [mydomain.com]
I am using Internet Site documents, and have a couple of dozen or so sites defined. I’m getting the error on about 3 of them. Two of the sites still work correctly, but the 3rd does not (it’s using the “Default” site document instead of the explicit one defined). I would not worry about it except for the one site that doesn’t work. There are no “duplicate” sites defined as far as I can tell, but I can find no information about this error message either on this forum, in the doc, or via Google. I have tried deleting and re-creating the docs to no avail. There is nothing apparently different from the ones that work other than the host names.

In the Internet Site document, in the field for Host names or addresses mapped to this site how have you put the website in?
I’m not absolutely sure but in the dim distant past I seem to remember that if you are sharing the IP address and getting Domino to do the domain name binding, then don’t put any IP address in, simply the name of the site you want to bind to that address not the name and IP address, otherwise the console will throw that error.

The host names fields on site documents contain the domain names only for the sites. Again, these are exactly the same site documents that worked perfectly with Domino 6.5.4.

Scott, I was having the same problem as well and just figured it out. It worked fine in 6.5 but didn’t when I upgraded to 7. There were 2 things I needed to change:#1 - I put every Interenet Site document into its own Organization. Previously they had all been under the same organization. That categorizes them in the view differently, and corrected most of the problems, but not all.
#2 - I had to NEVER list an IP address on any of the site configuration documents. Previously I had a “default” if you will. Even though multiple web sites shared the same IP address, I had one listed with the IP address so people would get to that if they typed in the IP address instead of the host name. I had to remove that - so nobody can use IP addresses to get to a site any more. They have to use the host name. That took care of the rest.
