We have a sig generator that puts together standard HTML signatures for users. It creates a .HTM file that contains the same settings for font and font size across all clients.
The problem is, on some people’s machines, the signatures are displaying with a smaller font size. Most people will have it display as Ariel 8pt, and others will display as Ariel 6pt. I cannot work out what is influencing this behaviour. The contents of the .htm files are exactly the same as far as fonts go…
Hey Kirsty…Long time no see. I had something on and couldn’t make it unfortunately.
The users’ notes.ini doesn’t have the setting Display_Font_Adjustment=. I actually thought it might be a notes.ini setting earlier and have re-built the notes.ini (by clearing it and running up the client again). No help there.
Linkedin - no worries. Thought we linked awhile back, but I’ll check…
Signature wise - is it definitely a client issue and not something funny with the htm file creation? We use a template across the board here (far smaller user base than yours, I know) but never seen anything like you describe.
You’ve obviously already looked at your User preferences - Default font, Internet mail format, etc.
Sorry mate - clutching at straws… Good luck. Hope someone else in the world can help when they wake up.
I noticed that this is an old thread… However, I am having the same problem I suppose. Out of approx 100 people, 5 gets a different font size in their automatically generated mail signature. We all work in the same company and we all use the same version of Lotus Notes.
The HTML looks just fine, nothing out of the ordinary. I look at these 5 peoples signature, even tried adding them to my email, and they are ok.
But when they use the signature the font size shrinks about 2 poins.
I am having the same problem with a couple of users in a 4000+ user environment. Their HTML signature file is showing a size or two smaller than everyone else’s, though the code is formatted exactly the same (the signatures are created with a template). Any insight anyone has on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
