How to upgrade ODS of names.nsf? Thanks!

put this in notes,ini

Create_R85_Databases=1 or CREATE_R9_DATABASES=1

then restart the server.

Subject: Bring down Domino Server or Notes Client

Add one of the following to notes.ini on Notes Client or Server

Release 9.0.1 - CREATE_R9_DATABASES=1

Release 8.5.x and 9.0 - CREATE_R85_DATABASES=1

Release 8.0.x CREATE_R8_DATABASES=1

With Domino Server or Notes Client down…

run (n)compact -c names.nsf from a Command Prompt/Console window

e.g. Windows

c:\notes> ncompact.exe -c names.nsf

Subject: Setting + compact

You need the Create_R9_Databases=1 as mentioned above, but you also need to compact names.nsf as well.
