Dear all,I have finished to upgrade Domino server to R6.5, but mail template is still R4.5.
How I can upgrade only my mail template to R6.5. I want to test before upgrade other mail.

For your own, right-click on your mail database icon (or use the File menu) and choose Database → Replace Design, then select the new template from the template list. You’ll also need to manually upgrade the design of your folders.

The mail template will be called inotes60.ntf for inotes, mail6.ntf for normal mail or mail6ex.ntf for the extended mail templates. iNotes one is the best for having web mail as well.
You can also upgrade the templates from the console ‘load convert mail*.nsf inotes60.ntf’ which will convert your entire mail folder.

Would it stay at 20 or would it be upgraded to 43?

The ODS would stay the same until you compacted the mail database.

In order to upgrade your template and all personal folders in one move, go to your server console and type:
load convert -u mail\yournamefile.nsf * inotes6.ntf
The -u switch will automatically update your personal folders design rather than having to do this manually.

Hi there,
As the new mail template is almost double the size of the R5 template, this will increase the size of your mailfile. If you increase your mail quota (or remove it altogether) and re-run the replace design, you will be able to update without problems.

Hi there,
The size of the inotes6.ntf template is about 13MB. Check your mailfile quota and make sure that you have not reached your limit. If you have, increase it by about 50MB which is sufficient for replacing the design using this template. Another option is to set your mail database to have no quota at all.
