Can you turn of the default setting of “Locally encrypt this database” when creating new or copies of databases locally?

This option can also be disabled in the user preferences.

  • Select ‘File → Preferences → User Preferences’ from the Lotus Notes client menu.

  • Select the ‘Replication’ option in the user preferences box.

  • Set the ‘Should Notes Encrypt New Replicas’ option to 'Do not locally encrypt;.
