how to prevent Mail delivery to Fist name…shud be restricted to “the internet email assigned to the user”
We have more than one “John” with first names… so the mail to john@domain.com is being sent to all of them… how to restrict the “Internet email” which is fristname.lastname@domain.com

easy,
open the configuration document for your server in the domino directory (configurations-servers-configurations)
go to the router/smtp - basics tab and change the value in the address lookup field to fullname only

i did it but it stoped some other user’s emails for delivery!

when set to fullname lookups only, make sure all users have their valid internet addres in the internet address field of their person document (or as an alias in the fullname field)
