When running Connections on IBM Connections Cloud, IBM had a solution for just "click-and-run" integration of Box.com into communities. Box was used to share files for external users just by a link, because that was impossible in Connections without beeing a menber of the community.
Where to find information about this integration? Nothing to find on HCL sites.
Thank's in advance.

Hi Rolf-Thore,
This may or not have been a feature before, but as of the moment HCL Connections Does not support this feature. This is why there are no documentations for this.
To add this feature, an enhancement request would be the way to go.

I hope HCL would built the neccesary app to make it easy as HCL Verse.

Integrating HCL Connections with Box.com enables users to manage and share content seamlessly between the two platforms. While HCL Connections does not offer a native, out-of-the-box integration with Box.com, there are approaches you can consider to achieve this integration:
1.Custom Integration Development: Develop a custom integration using the APIs provided by both HCL Connections and Box.com. This approach requires programming expertise to create middleware that facilitates communication between the two platforms. By leveraging the APIs, you can tailor the integration to meet your organization’s specific needs.
2.Third-Party Integration Tools: Utilize third-party integration platforms, such as StarfishETL, which offer connectors for both Box and HCL Domino. These tools can help bridge the gap between Box.com and HCL Connections by enabling data synchronization and process automation. For more information, you can visit StarfishETL’s website:
3.Explore Existing Integrations: Investigate if there are existing integrations or plugins developed by the community or third-party vendors that facilitate the connection between HCL Connections and Box.com. Engaging with HCL’s customer support or professional services may provide insights into available solutions or best practices for achieving the desired integration.
It’s important to note that while HCL Verse, an email and business messaging platform, offers integration with Box.com, this functionality is specific to HCL Verse and does not extend to HCL Connections. The integration in HCL Verse allows users to share Box files and folders directly from the platform. For detailed instructions on configuring this integration, you can refer to HCL’s official documentation:
In summary, integrating HCL Connections with Box.com may require custom development or the use of third-party tools, as native support is not currently available. Carefully evaluate the options to determine the best approach that aligns with your organization’s requirements and technical capabilities.

Thank you. But I’m not able to change codes to suit an on-prem installation.
Local CNX: byggx.connections.no
Box.com: byggx.box.com
I think links to IBM is dead, so how to get it up and running?
CNX is on level 8-CR8

Ps: It was very simpel to integrate, when CNX run in IBM cloud. Everything was “click-and-run”.
Thank you, but I’m not able to change codes to running on-prem.
CNX: byggx.connections.no
Box.com: byggx.box.com
When using CNX on IBM Cloud, is was “click-and-run”. As the sample on Github show links to IBM, I think these links are dead, so how to change this codes?
